Parallax, Inc. has scheduled an Educator’s Workshop on Electronics with micro:bit and Python for July 19, 21 and 23. Attendees will learn how to add a pre-engineering focus to maker and CTE programs. Parallax engineer Andy Lindsay and Cyber.org’s Tommy Gober will present previews of a new curriculum series that provides an introduction to Python scripting, electronics, sensors and microcontrollers. They hope to gain instructor feedback. Educators, especially those using the cyber:bot, should register to learn about the scope, hardware and new curriculum planned for release mid-June.

Parallax Inc. is offering complimentary Summer Teacher training to technology educators in the U.S. Each of these courses feature the cyber:bot robot with micro:bit and introduce Python programming, electronics and cyber security following the cyber:bot tutorial series.
Each course includes three 90 minute Zoom meetings, with homework in between. Parallax Inc. will be hosting two of the courses, and NICERC will be hosting the other two.
